Super Sneak Peek!

Friday, May 28th, 2010

Friends,

It’s been a long moment of silence on this blog, but I haven’t forgotten about you! While things have been quiet here, there have been a few things in the works.

Like this, for example: Here’s a super advanced sneak peek at the children’s book that I’m just finishing illustrating. It probably won’t come out ’till 2012, so I thought I’d share a look. More details on it WAY later, but for now here’s a look at two interior pages:

I recently switched my children’s book site to here:

please bookmark it and check it for more news on my children’s books. Thanks for visiting. More soon!

Linus Painting

I was recently invited to be a “Cartoonist-In-Residence” at the Charles Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, California. It’s happening November 11th from 1-3 pm. I was really excited to be asked and am really looking forward to it.

This is my take on one of my favorite “Peanuts” characters. I used to cut out comics by Charles Schulz, from the Sunday paper, when I was younger. A big influence, was he…

I recently rediscovered early “Peanuts” comics strips, a guaranteed treasure for all who seek.

Archery Collaboration

Here’s a small peek at a painting collaboration I did with Aaron Horkey, David Choe, Herbert and James Jean. I was only able to scan some bits before returning it, but maybe someday I’ll get a good reproduction of the whole thing. My contribution is the winged kid on the right. Aaron Horkey did the letters shown, and there’s a small head showing that was done by Herbert.
